UWC is committed to ensuring that as many students as possible have the opportunity to experience a UWC education regardless of national, socioeconomic, cultural, racial or religious background. UWC achieves this through selection based on potential and merit and through the provision of scholarships. To continue this work, UWC relies on donations from alumni and other individuals, trusts, foundations, companies and governments.

A donation to UWC Cayman Islands will help provide educational opportunities to young Caymanians. Your donation will be used in one of three ways: fund a scholarship, help pay for student costs, or help fund our operations.

Scholarships - UWC schools and colleges offer need-based scholarships to the national committee system each year. Some scholarships provide up to full funding, while others will cover partial costs. By donating directly to the national committee you can help fund additional UWC scholarships and provide more opportunities for the youth of Cayman.

Additional Costs - A scholarship provided by a UWC school or college generally covers (part of) the student's school fees, but there are other costs associated with attending a UWC. The cost of visas, international flights and extra-curricular activities are vital to the student's educational journey but are often unaffordable for those most in need. Your donation will help ensure that we are able to reach out and provide opportunities to all of our selected students.

National committee operational costs - UWC Cayman Islands is run by dedicated volunteers who do not receive any payment. However, the national committee needs funds in order to operate. Your donation will help fund our company registration and change fees payable to the Registrar, post office box rental, the promotion and selection process, and local programming.

UWC Cayman Islands is registered under the local Non-Profit Organisations Law, 2017. You can confirm the status of our listing at any time on the public Non-Profit Organisations Register. We have also been registered under the Companies Law (2018 Revision) since 11 January 1996 and are in good standing with the Registrar of Companies.
